Nancy Pelosi slams the GOP as ‘not professional,’ ‘aimless,’ and ‘chaotic’

Standing before reporters, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tore into the GOP leadership for skipping town without making any progress on the debt ceiling. “This is chaotic, this is not a professional approach to getting the job done, to getting solutions and resolving issues for the American people,” Pelosi said. The House of Representatives has yet to come to come to an agreement on the budget or the debt ceiling and has to deal with, yet again, a possible government shutdown. This time, the deadline is September 30th–just two weeks after Congress returns from a five-week recess. “I wish that we could stay, our members are prepared to stay–and work,” she continued.

This isn’t the first time the Minority Leader has scolded members of the House for their lack of work ethic. Her words on Friday echo what she said in September 2012 when she tried to get House Republicans to deal with the the Violence Against Women Act and and a suspended Farm Bill:

We are prepared to stay…We have been in session only eight days. That’s not right

They are also reminiscent of the scolding she gave Republicans last December for failing to avoid the fiscal cliff…

Here we are once again having a two-day work week in the Congress of the United States.

This time, however, Pelosi seemed more frustrated. “The Republicans have not done their work leading up to the break” she said. “That’s what’s different about it.” With the failure of House Speaker John Boehner’s first farm bill vote it appears that no one is control of the Republican caucus. “They’re very wrong. I think they’re aimless, I think they’re chaotic and I think they’re making matters worse for the American people.”

Perlosi neatly summed up the situation: “If the work that they want to get done is nothing, then they’re right on schedule.”

“This is chaotic, this is not a professional approach to getting the job done" This is the republican professional approach to getting the job done. Obstruct, convolute, disrupt charge forward into the past. Somewhere around 1836.
This is the number one assignment set for GOP co. by their major stake holders.
I sure hope Nancy Pelosi understands the job they are trying to accomplish.

I think sums it up nicely. They can't even agree on the kind of massive social cuts that would be required by the Ryan Budget. When the numbers are put down on paper and each congressperson sees what it would mean in their district, they fold. So they are doing nothing.
