The Significance Of Ex-Gay Pride Month

Following the closure and apology of prominent ex-gay therapy organization Exodus International, other groups have stepped in to fill the void. The right-wing Family Research Council has launched two new ex-gay organizations, Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) and Equality and Justice for All, and formulated the first-ever “Ex-Gay Pride Month.”

we strive to reduce bigoted representations of the ex-gay sexual orientation status. We ensure that ex-gays and their friends and families can be open, honest, safe, and respected in a diverse society.

Equality and Justice For All also advocates for homosexuals with unwanted same-sex attractions. We endeavor to increase fairness and equitable treatment for former homosexuals, and help communities overcome the effects of prejudice and intolerance against gays who no longer want to live out a gay identity.

I can hardly believe how backwards this is.

Equality and Justice For All also advocates for homosexuals with unwanted same-sex attractions.

I wonder if they have ever stopped to ask themselves why people might feel their attractions are "unwanted".

We endeavor to increase fairness and equitable treatment for former homosexuals, and help communities overcome the effects of prejudice and intolerance against gays who no longer want to live out a gay identity.

But fairness and equitable treatment for homosexuals who don't feel like they need to change their identity to appease these bigots? Forget about it..

Jeez.

The name of this organization is the definition of irony.

spitting in the face of those who are discriminated against. Are "ex gays" denied the right to marry? To visit their dying partner in the hospital? Do they have to read signs which state "God hates ex-fags"? I think not.
