Suppose Snowden witnesses or hears about some horrible crime against human rights, freedom, and dignity in Russia. What do you think he'll do? I wonder what Putin thinks Snowden will do. Snowden is going to be a lot more interesting in Russia (they can have him) than he would be here sitting in jail.

He'll do something to get attention again, a la Zimmerman and Julian. But it will get harder and harder, like it now is for Julian. At least he is not trapped in one building.

He comes across as an internationalist to me. Ya know, all men are created equal.

(30,058 posts)stop saying things about the US, Putin will probably be more insistent he not speak about Russia. Snowden will not be able to go to for treatment of his epilepsy as when he left the US.

(31,211 posts)Russia. Most come to a very sad end, and many died under "suspicious" circumstances. Once his high profile fades into history, he'll be just another leaker, who the Russian government will keep under extreme scrutiny. They know that Snowden, with an internet connection, can be useful to them, but if he thinks he's going to enjoy the internet freedom and privacy he champions, I'm willing to bet that he'll be the most heavily monitored man on the globe.
"Come to Russia, a Libertarian paradise". That's the next ad I expect to see from Snowie and his Dad. You have to admit, he's a propaganda coup for Putin, and he certainly deflects from Pooty's own human rights deficiencies.

Hey authoritarians, YOU FUCKING LOST, get over it. Despite all of your best attempts at smear, character assignation, and demonizing, Mr Snowden took you down and kicked your duplicitous ass.
Now, let's talk about the REAL FUCKING ISSUE. Why the fuck is the NSA spying on legitimate, honest, American citizens, in clear fucking violation of the 4th Amendment of the Constitution?
