Some argue that we had to attack industrial epicenters. They may have a point. They may not.

All I know is war is always ex post inefficient.

WWII was a whole lot of tragedies. I think "never forget" is good advice.

Accept it at the risk of becoming a person that finds it acceptable to do horrific things as long as rationale is provided.

I'm not Harry Truman, and this is not 1945. I am glad for both those facts.

There was a history. Go read up on Commodore Perry and how Japan was forced open. Then read about how Western Imperialist nations raped China and how that made Japan react.

So you would say, then, in that context you "accept the rationale" for Japan's starting WWII in the Pacific?

Does that mean you agree with the decision? That you are unaware of the moral implications of it? That you yourself would make the same decision in the same circumstance?

See, Im willing to bet that is not what that means, B.

We observe the rise of a computerized net oriented security state, which uses a "war on terror" as excuse for all.

We observe VERY LITTLE pushback, considering the challenge.
