Utah beauty queen, and 3 others, facing serious charges for throwing home-made bombs as a prank

A Utah beauty queen has been arrested for hurling home-made bombs containing toxic toilet cleaner at houses in a south Salt Lake County community.

Kendra McKenzie Gill, who was crowned Miss Riverton in June and was set to compete in the Miss Utah pageant, was taken into custody with three friends - John Patrick Reagh, Shanna Marie Smith and Bryce Christopher Stone - on Saturday.

Police have accused the four 18-year-olds of making the devices - using water bottles filled with aluminum foil and toilet bowl cleaner - and ditching them at at least two homes in Riverton, including the residence of Stone's ex-girlfriend.

'They were throwing them at both property and people,' Unified Fire Authority Captain Clint Mecham told KUTV. 'This goes well beyond a teenage prank.'

They are each facing 10 counts of setting off an incendiary device, each a 1st degree felony.

I was going to say that this sort of thing might have been brushed off as shenanigans 20 or 30 years ago, (if they had set them off in a field) until I saw that they threw them at houses and people.

Those teens are real dumbasses.

with fireworks as her cohort said. It also wasn't a science experiment. They threw these at people. One of whom was the ex girlfriend of one of the guys with her.

I see her future going from washed up beauty queen to picking up trash on the side of the road for a while. I'm guessing world peace wasn't her platform. Going from bombshell to bomb thrower is not a resume enhancer.
