Apple wins Proview China trademark case
Apple has won a case of trademark infringement which, if upheld, would have prevented it from selling iPads in China.
The Shanghai court said that the case, brought by Proview Technology, did not have enough evidence to proceed.
Proview claims the rights to the iPad name in the Chinese market after registering it in 2000, years before Apple released its tablet computer.
Proview is threatening to continue the battle in US courts.
