What these Republican men are actually saying...

Women are lesser creatures who do not have the intelligence to make informed decisions about their bodies and their lives.

Nothing new here. The Catholic Church has been saying the same thing for centuries. The notion is imbedded in our culture.

The proposal for forced transvaginal ultrasound tests on women seeking abortion is basically saying that a woman is not smart enough to know what is in her best interests without the help of men who know nothing about her or her life.

In the early '70's I lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I went to register to vote there and was told that I had to register in Decatur because that was where my husband was registered and I was "a chattel" of my husband.

I'm fearful that we've taken a giant step back to those days.

Exactly as they would if they were men.

These bills are a republican war against liberty in partnership with a church war against sex.

I am convinced that many of the Republican women in Congress have yet to truly believe that they are equals to men. They may try to act that way, but I wonder if they truly believe in equality.

And I think that's why Hillary Clinton and other women like her are perceived as such a threat. She very openly proves that she believes in equality. No bones about it! And they hate her for daring to do that.

for something by backing the odious tenets of the church.

I can't think of any other reason why women would be so misogynist.

but maybe even more relevant to their POV, is that women deserve humiliation, especially those who are clearly sexual beings.
