Dr. Zhivago & 1917 Russian Revolution A Reminder Of What Can Happen
I remember watching Dr. Zhivago when it came out and it has always stuck with me. In that time the Czar and the elite had all the money and were involved in waging war. During WWI the Russian Army got beaten pretty badly at the front. Dr. Zhivago was forced into service and was on the way to the front.
The column he was in encountered a bedraggled beaten element of Russian troops on the way back to Moscow. The officers in his column ordered the wounded and beaten soldier back. Well they revolted and killed the officers and the soldier marched onto Moscow and the Russian Revolution began.
The US is on a very dangerous path over time. And Egypt is a recent example of what people will do when they have nothing to look forward to. The reason for the coup over the Brotherhood there was that they were more interested in establishing an Islamic state and NOT trying to correct their failing economy. I do not know if we will ever reach such a point in the USA. I do not want to know.
But this race to the bottom and giant sucking sound of the money to the top cannot last forever without consequences.
