(2,097 posts)Keeps us from getting complacent. We need to treat Obama like he's a 20-point underdog all the way to Election Day, rather than assuming he's just fine. Want to know what happens if we don't? Ask Senator Martha Coakley.

(126,624 posts)I don't think there is a complacency problem this year. But there is the danger of a "our guy sucks because he didn't do everything promised and he might lose no matter what" problem that can serve as a self-fulfilling prophesy by being demoralizing.

(1,138 posts)It is so bad I think the GOP is taking a dive. They have no answer for anything. None. Repeal Obamacare and then what? Lower tax on the rich then what? Their candidates are awful. The way I see it vote Obama. He will keep the scheme afloat longer than the GOP could and even throw a few bones to the little guys.
