I think that the theme of the disparity of wealth is something that most Americans understand.

I remember what it was like in the 1950s and 1960s. Nixon ended the relative fairness in the distribution of wealth. There were poor people. There were slums. But there was a very large middle class that does not exist any more.

... political message was too subtle for conservatives to understand, although I did really like it that the wealthy spoke French, since the 1% have taught their minions to hate the French.
