4 hour fire alarm test scheduled for Florida State Capital building...
A scheduled fire alarm testing at the Florida Capitol is scheduled for Wednesday evening from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., but even a fire alarm can't put out the Dream Defenders protest in Tallahassee.
According to a sign posted at the Capitol Wednesday, the testing will include "the constant ringing of a loud, high pitch fire alarm throughout multiple floors of the Florida Capitol Building." The notice also advises Capitol visitors to take "necessary precautions" to protect themselves from the noise.
The Dream Defenders have vowed they won't be leaving despite the noise. "WE WON'T BE MOVED," read a tweet from the group, who has been camped out in front of Gov. Rick Scott's office for 30 days. "Today they have decided to have a four hour alarm testing tonight here in the Capitol. Noise allows us time to get fired up!
#WhoGoneStopUs," reads another tweet. The Dream Defenders also took to their Facebook page to post the following update, showing that they are indeed planning on staying the night, regardless of the high-pitched alarms."The tactics of law enforcement here at the Florida State Capitol are so trivial," begins the post.
"The sounding of the alarms tonight will only add fuel to our FIRE. No matter what we will stand tall with high spirits! We will not be moved!#TakeOverFL #TrayvonsLaw #WeAreHere."
