Democrats: Take Newt Gingrich and use him as a tool against the right-wing extremists.
Newt Gingrich scolded the Republicans for criticizing "Obamacare" and offering "zero" as an alternative. He said they needed to offer something besides hatred for Obama and "negativity".
Since Newt is considered a "big thinker" by a lot of Republicans, Democrats should use his words as a weapon against the present destructive Republicans. They should run ads across the nation starring Newt Gingrich.
Yes, this could be called "divisive" but all is fair in war and politics. This is serious business. There is nothing wrong with fighting fire with fire. This is an opportunity that has been laid at the doorstep of the Democratic Party.
