Many Wildfire Firefighters Have No Safety Net If They Are Hurt Or Killed

protecting the same people who do not want to pay taxes or don't like government employees. I do not understand why we attack the same people we depend on to save our butts.

I think many of these firefighters are private contractors.

MN fighters have trained crews that are prepared if we have a fire here but because they are trained they often volunteer to go to other states. This probably accounts for why many do not have the type of support they need if they are hurt or killed.
