And no doubt duplicitously.
They detected the opportunity to make hay out of the Administration's thumbing its nose at the surveillance concerns of the public & moved in to run their concern scam. I Have no doubt that these creeps would gleefully use and extend the existing surveillance apparatus to consolidate their own power if given the chance, despite whatever they say now.
The Paulites are barbarous racists, classists and liars who would wreak great harm on the nation and the world if they were to ascend to power.
Unfortunately, with its (at best) obtuse tone-deafness or (at worst) betrayal of core principles and apparent commitment to spying upon its own citizens, the Administration is not only attacking the supposedly inalienable rights of the citizenry, but is also helping to pave the way for an ascent to power by the worst and most destructive elements on the political scene.
