Slow slide into a military police state.

The judge's decision the other day that "stop and frisk" was unconstitutional was a victory for all of us.
The City has appealed his ruling.

The police in this country have become more and more militaristic and antagonistic toward our citizens. They believe they are at "war" when they go out on the street. They demand bigger and better weapons than their "enemies".

Somewhere they lost the meaning of "to protect and defend"? We slowly slid into a military-type police state.

That is why it is important that the "stop and frisk" ruling not be over-turned. It puts a temporary restraining order on the police, at least for the time being...

decade without pause, and the police are just doing what they've been trained and conditioned to do - occupy, and take out "the bad guys" in the midst of a hostile population.

That's what happened to "to Protect and Defend."
