happened in my neck of the woods. I know people who have kids with LDs. They'll handle it. They'll write a letter, start a demonstration and fight to transform shit like this into a learning moment. Trust me. You don't know what love and empowerment is until you've met one of these people with autistic kids.

The musician's son is about six or seven, and according to my social media friend he "tends to make some noises when he's excited."

Well, what kid doesn't? Just because a kid is autistic and can't shout out in perfect English -- or whatever the local language -- shouldn't mean a thing.

I hope the parents of the child who got this letter are successful in their efforts to press charges against the fuckers who left this note. I don't know, because the note does stop short of making outright threats, but still that's no fucking way to behave.

I realize some people legitimately have trouble dealing with developmentally disabled people(I've known a few myself), but this isn't one of those cases. I mean, calling for euthanasia of this poor kid? That was just over the line. I'm sorry, but this kid deserves to have a life; he deserves treatment of his condition, and not being put down like a sick animal......because for all his problems, Max is STILL a human being, and should be acknowledged as such like everybody else.

people with disabilities. They want to shunt them into institutions, keep them out of the public schools, keep them out of sight, even kill them.

The first group of people the German Nazis decided to systematically murder were people with disabilities. The technologies of mass murder they developed killing children and adults with disabilities (gas vans, gas chambers) were then applied to Jews, GLBTs, and Romani (often called "Gypsies&quot . Here in the US the eugenics movement openly called for the mass sterilization of people with disabilities, and the majority of states passed laws enabling state institutions to do just that.

It's one of the oldest prejudices in the world, and any progressive agenda has to include disability rights.
