If bush was in office...

Let's start a new game called "If bush was in office..."

Simple rules, start off with the title phrase then add your ending in the text box.

I'll start it off.

If bush was in office...

No one would be calling fellow DUers "far-left" for supporting Democratic principles.

posters wouldn't constantly be posting divisive OP's meant to highlight our differences rather than what binds us together as Democrats.

We've been doing this since day one. Bickering back and forth is a Democratic tradition. I think it makes us stronger as we're forced to challenge and defend our beliefs.

why did we stay home in droves in 2010?

Since we're talking Bush and our strength how in the hell did he get a second term?

All studies show that liberals and left leaning activists showed up in their usual numbers. It was the more "pragmatic" voters who didn't bother showing.

So now that I've knocked down that talking point (I'm sure not the first time you've had it knocked down), let's go to the second one.

Oh yeah. It's the same answer. Liberals and left leaning activists ALWAYS turn out. It's your lot who don't bother or decide that maybe a republican wouldn't be so bad.

So why did your lot stay home in droves in 2010?

especially the students.

66.2% voted in 2008
52.6% voted in 2010
13 point drop.

My lot?

Oh and when it comes to special elections... turnout among Dems is even more dismal.
North Carolina anti gay marriage vote was 60/40.

You can make this personal if you wish, but I always say we - not some of us, but all of us need to
start voting in midterms. Some of us voting isn't working out so well for us all.

I posted about liberals and activists, you respond with a statistic on student voting.

Come back when you seriously want to discuss the issues, not make phony claims.

The mods would have taken that for absolute proof of being a troll and tombstoned them immediately.
