Announce it, fine. but his song and dance just now seemed like he was begging people to kinda "keep the faith" with him, or something...so what if he's only on once a night?

(9,656 posts)I TIVO his show and watch it around 5 mountain time. So it's not a problem for me. It comes on at five here also, but I am a bit spoiled with skipping through the commercials. In fact, I like this better. This way the 5 pm show is all fresh and, shall we say, current.

(63,902 posts)I would think that the 7 pm is far more preferable. Lots of people have dinner around 6, so 7 sounds like a good time to settle in and watch his show. I would think 5 pm is a bit early...not for me cuz I'm retired...

(36,974 posts)I think MSNBC should have given Ed the later time-slot (7pm ET) and left Hardball in the earlier one (5pm ET).
Chris Mathews, yesterday and today, sounds like someone going thru withdrawal.

(103,856 posts)except for the rare occasion when he claimed it live if something big was happening..and without any warning, probably most people had changed the channel already and never saw it anyway.
MSNBC is notorious for NOT covering things live that should be covered..especially if it intrudes on Prison-Porn or spliced together NBC snippets of crimes solved 25 years ago...
