Scott Rasmussen leaves the Asbury Park polling company he founded
Scott Rasmussen, a pollster whose regular appearances on Fox News from his Asbury Park office made him synonymous with election season, has left the company he founded.
The Rasmussen Reports majority investor, Noson Lawen Partners, said Thursday that Rasmussen left the company last month in part because of disagreements over its business strategies.
Ted Carroll, partner of Noson, declined to discuss the disagreements when he was reached by the Asbury Park Press. But he said the company would keep the Rasmussen name, and it would remain in Asbury Park, as far as Im concerned.
Rasmussen, 57, of Ocean Grove, founded the company 10 years ago, polling Americans on everything from who they supported in the presidential election to whether they thought their compatriots watched too much television.
