Do You Want the U.S. to Expand Our Military Involvement to Include Syria?

I want to say that I don't. We would be digging ourselves a deeper pit. And who are the "good guys?"
And then the neocons will want us to get involved in Egypt.
It's time to draw a red line against more military involvement.

Nope. No more wars, especially in the Middle East. Let them solve their problems. dkf Aug 2013 #1

Obama has been trying to get the job done with the usual proxies (including al Qaeda) but Assad has been winning. And now the gas attack (timed when UN inspectors were on the ground ) may force Obama's hand.

Seems easier to force the US than to risk their own troops.

My heart breaks for all the innocents but there are no good guys to team up with. We'd only make it worse.

It's already playing out like Operation Cyclone all over again, we don't need to become Operation Syrian Freedom.

Stirring in a hornet's nest isn't going to stop the swarm and all it will do is cause more people to get stung. I feel for them, I really do, but US involvement would just make things worse.

Ever notice how the insane government of Israel desperately wants war with Iran, even down to using Wyl E. Coyote-style graphics to attempt to gain allies? And failing that, working to foment war with an Iranian ally so that Iran will be forced into the conflict?

Not one bullet should be given to al Qaeda or any other group. Syria is an independent country and the US should not try to force its destiny.
