Is demographics destiny in presidential elections?

I don't want to get too cocky but I don't see how a Republicant can win when his or her Democratic opponent starts with more than seventy percent of the non white vote. It's almost to a point, that with a robust minority turnout, the Democratic presidential candidate can win with approximately one out of three white voters.
