CNN comments today: racist trolls flock to Dr. King anniversary stories

Good Lord. What is wrong with some people?

Today I went to read and comment on a story on the March on Washington anniversary. Lots of trolls got there before me. I won't repeat the language some of them used, but you know this sort of thing. Go and look at CNN.com if you want.

If only trolls would go live under bridges, like they do in the legends...

They aren't trolls per se . . . They are a segment of America that we have no choice but to acknowledge exists. Acknowledgement, shine a light on them - that's how we challenge their beliefs. They believe every single thing they write - it is WHO they are. It's time that we believe in what they show us.

The 2nd-top comment:

"MLK and Rosa Parks are rolling over in their graves right now, especially when NAACP, Jackson, Sharpton, and Obama fell silent after the killing of an Australian and the vet."

3rd: "If Blacks hate and despise Whites, isn't that a racist??"

Thank the Internet - a medium accessible to all, dumb and smart - for perpetuating IGNORANCE far more than truth. And the founder of Facebook wants to EXPAND internet access around the world? One comment with the "King was a Republican" myth got 16 upvotes/2 downvotes!
