Local Fox news now totally right wing

Brought my car in for service and they had Fox 5 in DC in the waiting area.

It is exactly like the Fox news network now. Saw 2 segments, the first was about Syria. Their guest---'mideast expert' John (Yosemite Sam) Bolton. He proclaimed Obama weak and that he will throw a few missiles in there that won't make any difference, he claimed we should go all out with the attack. Oh yeah, he said even if Obama does what Bolton wants, he is still weak. Then the next segment was on how great WalMart is for promoting Made in America which we all know is a bunch of crap.

When did local Fox make the big switch to RW news?

My local affiliate is hen they get national feed, otherwise they are very good

of the national faux. But also here in Orlando, all our local "news" is decidedly skewed right wing. That happened right around the 2007-2008 campaign season. Subtly at first then overtly after the election.

I remember reading a few years back that Local Fox affiliates were basically told to start towing the Faux news channel line. I can't find the article -- hopefully someone else on DU can.

At least one of the DC Fox *reporters* is the son of one of the more well known bobbleheads on Faux -- cannot remember his name -- he currently does light and pithy feel good stories.

They used to be pretty straight up with the news. This John Bolton thing this morning was classic Ailes Fox propaganda though.
