Ohio's Governor is for rent.

And a pretty cheap rent, at that. For a mere $50,000.00, Ohio coal companies were able to wreck a manís career and gain the ability to pollute at will. Pocket change for such a result. Yep, Kasich is a good buy as politicians go.

The back story: a competent and even-handed civil servant was enforcing the environmental laws on the fossil fuel industries. Said industries did not like that, so they bribed the Guv: Kasich then fired the man.

2. Not sure he's that reliable.

If you buy something, you can count on keeping it. I think Little Johnnie will cheerfully sell himself to anyone with cash in hand, regardless of who it is waving the green and folding.

That's why I said "rent". He's not honest enough to stay bought.

3. Is this a done deal?

This is from a report posted on Aug. 23, 2013.

Ousted Ohio EPA Director Will Fight To Keep Job

A veteran Ohio environmental regulator who said the administration of Republican Gov. John Kasich is forcing him to resign after pressure from the coal industry is fighting to keep his job.

George Elmaraghy has run the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's Division of Surface Water since June 2005. He authored an email widely distributed earlier this week that said his resignation Sept. 13 comes after "considerable pressure" his division faced to accommodate the coal industry.

Elmaraghy informed Ohio EPA Director Scott Nally in a new email Thursday that he didn't want to retire and was withdrawing his resignation. EPA emails provided to The Associated Press show Nally has denied Elmaraghy's request to stay on.

Elmaraghy has hired a lawyer. He has worked at the Ohio EPA for 39 years.

4. I hope Mr. Elamarghy is successful.

Either way, Kasich is a corrupt little slime.

5. Ohio is is in for some BIG environmental destruction.

Kasich's two handpicked sock puppets (Scott Nally, Director Environmental Protection Agency and David Mustine, head of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources) are in bed with the gas and coal industry.

Talk about the fox guarding the henhouse!

6. Oh, tell me.

My fellow Buckeyes had a severe case of the stupid in the last two elections.
