Presidents Carter and Clinton both have given good history lessons

of the years of the civil rights movement. So much strife and so many contributing all to see equal rights and voting rights. I was about 10 years old when all of this came to a head back then. Since then we have had no leaders among the people of the stature of those who lead this movement. MLK wasn't just one of the greatest leaders in US history but in world history, in my opinion. He held no political office and his army carried no weapons. He carried before him the dream of human dignity and hope for a better world. There is nothing more powerful than a dream and a will to achieve it. Should we abandon that dream, we will abandon humanity.
