I trust the President more than I trust this specific Congress

Last edited Sat Aug 31, 2013, 03:37 PM - Edit history (1)

Reading on here that the President is going to the congress.. I am glad it is this President.

The last time we went to Congress, it was with Bush,.. and well.. I will just let that one sit.

There are so many loose cannons in there now, who all think they are President.. or GOD, or the only senator or house member worth a hill of beans

So let us hope, that the saner minds will hold sway.

"Be careful what you wish for," my old Dad used to say. "Sometimes you might just get it."

Edit to add:

I am talking about the congress we have had to deal with since 2010.. and the infiltration by certain teabag politicians who would bring the goverment down for their specific ideology.. let us go bankrupt.. this is the congress I do not trust.

Its damned if you do, damned if you don't..

10 years of war is what we got from the last go around.

Praying for the best. I am not scared. But I am worried.

4. I don't. The reason is the Congress does nothing, so no harm done, but the President can bomb.

The Congress has no real ability to do harm, but the same certainly can not be said of the President.

And with that a military buildup.. I don't trust congress as far as I can collectively throw them

Edit to add.. they vote Bush the power to go in if he wanted.. which opened up the gates of hell

course, John 'why don't they believe us' Kerry.
Much of that 2002 Congress is in the administration now, but not one of those who voted NO is in the administration.
So apparently Obama trusted them as far as you can thrown them....

. . . I have more faith in being able to influence my representatives against military action.

At any rate, at least this will give us a chance to weigh in on a more involved level than petitioning the WH.

has stated a selective attack with no boots on the ground.. My biggest fear is the festering neo cons and their allies.. (no matter what they say now) will push for boots on the ground.

I do not trust the congress.

But let us hope my leeriness is unfounded. That would make me most happy

I'm not sure if I'll ever trust so much power handed to a single person, even if I might like that person from a distance. I guess I trust both as checks on each other.

My leeriness of this congress. if I am proved wrong.. no one will celebrate more than me. But they as a collective unit, have done nothing and I mean nothing and less than that to give me any confidence that they will not blow this thing up even more.
