If Obama Had Been President On Dec. 7, 1941 - GOP Would Have Been Against War Declaration

They are that crass. Now they want to dictate to Obama over Syria and demand to do it their way. Their racism is so obvious. How can we live with these miscreants?.

second, the constitution quite clearly gives the power to authorize military action to congress.

republicans are certainly racist as hell, but simply insisting on congressional authorization for military action is not an example of it.

You're comparing the second world war, the aftermath of an attack on US soil, with this sideshow in Syria that has zero to do with US national security? This is so off base.

Anyone who thinks you are comparing Syria to the Japanese just doesn't understand the GOP's hate.

until December 11th, AFTER Germany first declared war on the US.

There were lots in Congress who only wanted to declare war on Japan, which is why FDR didn't ask for a delaration of war on Germany on December 8. Not until Germany declared war on the US did FDR go back to Congress to get a declaration of war against Germany (and Italy).
