A fly on the wall when the Repubs return....

It is going to be entertaining to watch.

The President has tied them in knots with his decision to let Congress vote on whether or not to bomb Syria?

First of all, they are not a Party of heavy thinkers. Think Louie Gohmert. They like war and their defense contractors. They hate to be called "weak on defense". They hate Obama.

One can imagine the heated conversations behind the closed doors. None of their discussion would be about what is right for our country - it would only be what is best for the next election. That is just the way they think.

So, if they vote against it, they are afraid their voters will punish them for being weak on terrorism. But they would be voting against Obama. Two of their deepest thinkers, McCain and Graham, have already said they do not support it.

But if they vote for it, they are going against the majority of the American people, according to the polls. It could be a very unpopular vote. Repubs like the polls.

Their bowels will be in an uproar. They don't have the intelligence to figure out what to do and they don't have the principles to do what is right. They can only do what they think is to their political advantage. But they can't figure out what is to their advantage?

And that is why it is going to be entertaining when they return.

We saw that on gun control.
Current poll numbers are of little meaning as with the help of corporate media their base will once again gladly march others off to war.
Once again clear channel stations will be playing the national anthem every hour on the hour.

Giving any credos to President Obama is not something to be tolerated. Then and again by turning this over to congress Obama has taken the high ground. That must be a bitter pill.

The republicans face another small problem.
Misguided as it may be Obama appears to want only limited engagement. Nothing on the scope of an Iran conflict.
One of GOP co. major stakeholders, the M.I.C. realize that there is little profit in launching a "few cruse missiles up a camel's ass".

Yes, watching the civil war amongst the republican menace should be interesting.
Even more interesting will be when they figure out that they have brought this situation upon themselves.
