Assad is trolling Obama

According to tonight's news, he's calling Obama a wimp. Hopefully our president doesn't take the bait; he can't possibly be that naive.
What a mess!

Or, is the news media doing the MIC/administration's bidding and trolling the American public?

And we won't take goading.

Just have the Mossad end Assad's lifeforce by using third party assassins.

If he were smart he'd find a smart general to take his place, make a quiet deal with the Saudis and retire in luxury somewheres.

To be honest, I have not been watching this particularly closely. I don't know whether this type of bravado is typical of Assad; while I do know that it does sound a lot like Putin rhetoric. The question is whether Obama or our congress will take the bait, if this is true or (I can't believe I'm saying this!) they're all in it together.

I must say that somehow I feel that someone is trying to play me. I'll go look up current designs for tin foil hats now.

Putin thinks we are so weakened by the Snowden leaks (which RT continues to print btw) that we won't do anything. This current thing with Assad isn't to bait us. It is to showcase our presumed weakness.

Thereby showcasing Russia's strength in the ME. After all they are the major arms supplier there.

... saying "We will bury you" and crap like that. Is he going to go before the UN and pound his shoe on the table, or is that too much the old peasant for the urbane Mr. Putin?

What the hell kind of idiots in this country ever imagined Russia would reinvent democracy or Putin would be a trustworthy ally? It's now glaringly obvious that Snowden is now and has always been an incredibly useful tool.

Sorry, but my frustration is really showing.

Putin
FSB
WikiLeaks. The Guardian
Assange. Greenwald. Poitras
Snowden.

I won't put Chelsea Manning in with them. She was used and abused. She did not run. She had the courage of her convictions. She stood trial with dignity. She apologized.

The only question is what the huge payoff is that Vlad expects to get. Just how far will he take it? An actual restarting of the Cold War? Will he install missiles in Syria? Will he give Iran an operational nuclear program? Or will he simply be happy that he has made the United States look foolish.

This is classic Putin. He used our free speech against us. He's expert at exploiting weaknesses and he sees that as our greatest weakness, especially freedom of the press. This is a time when we're already sick of war. So he exploits that, too. He is the one who gave the CW to Assad. Obviously. He forced this confrontation. Now he accuses Kerry of lying. That is not only classic Putin, it's classic KGB, classic USSR, classic Cold War. It reminds me of Six Days in 1967.

You'd think that would be known by now, but if people keep falling for MSM spin and not bothering to actually listen to what the man says, then I guess the hand-wringing will continue.

One that most people aren't addressing. The alliance between Iran, Syria and Russia could be deadly. The use of chemical weapons was to deliberately push boundaries at a time when they think we can't act

their alliance is even stronger. Do you not see the photos of dead babies because of the acts of "the great Satan?"
So, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.

It would be ever so nice if the UN were an effective body. In the mean time, the rest of the world sits back to watch the show.

But, if we don't it confirms that out alliances are too broken to do anything. Which would make it a really good time for all 3 of those nations to push the boundaries even further. Like Russia shipping Iran whatever it needs for its nuclear program. And the scientists to help them out.

Madam Mossfern, some advice: Remove the term "trolling" from your vocabulary. It means nothing, and only makes its users sound like utter fucking imbeciles. No doubt I've used it myself from time to time. I regret every time. It is a word that signals deep stupidity.
