has america ever had a candidate run on the theocracy ticket before?

i sure can't remember one....

- a candidate that doesn't believe in the separation of church and state.

- a candidate that can't imagine the church not being able to influence our government.

rick santorum thinks religion should be actively involved in our government.

that is theocracy.

that is the taliban.

that's rick santorum.

Up to this point in my life, I have only witnessed the manipulation of people's religious beliefs by the likes of Rove. Those people were just using the fundamentalists. They don't actually believe all that stuff themselves.

But Santorum is the real deal. He really believes all of this. He is terrifying.

That is Taliban mentality to give the idea of a religious nation and persecute the hell out of those that don't share your beliefs 100%.

W was bad. Frothy will be 100,000,000 times worse.

And he seems to get more vocal and aggressive about it daily.

This country can't possibly elect him....

can they???

This would be it - I do not want to live under a bizarre religious government that can take a peak into your bedroom whenever they want.

to be president, we deserve what we get as a country. Santorum isn't subtle about what he thinks and believes. I don't think it will happen, and Romney will end up beating Santorum, but ya never know.

I'm not sure how much theocracy was involved, but I can't believe he would have settled for a mundane secular government.

[Some of my opponents] do not want to change the Constitution, but I believe it's a lot easier to change the constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God, and that's what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards,-huckabee 2008
