(2,815 posts)although now they're on the beach and it's funny watching people's reactions when they figure out they're on (web) TV. This one girl has been pretty entertaining the last few minutes. But I agree, it's a crap feed, especially the landing. To be fair, though, they probably didn't know the exactlly landing spot so they were shooting with a long-range telephoto.
Now they've got the camera pointed at the sky. WTF, CNN?
How many minor sporting events (like the ones which happen every Monday night and mean pretty much nothing in the overall grand scheme of athletic history - for example) would a major reporting entity go to with only one camera...
When the landing was not precisely as anticipated, there should have been another camera on site (or - hey - how about multiple cameras from multiple news outlets) so that someone catches this first ever sporting major sporting accomplishment

BTW, she was once ranked as 30th in the U.S. for competitive squash (the game, not the vegetable). This is one tough lady. Few people excel in multiple sports.
