Red lines, ultimatums, imperial credibility at risk, plans set in motion that can't be stopped

That is how World War I began in 1914.

And the killing didn't really stop until after the Chinese Revolution ended in '49.

Leaders need to avoid absolutes and maintain flexibility.

George Washington warned us before the MIC was entrenched and Dwight Eisenhower warned us after the MIC was entrenched.

Those with power to control haven't gone away, they've just changed their brand and re-marketed themselves.

So long as we continue to be an unenlightened populace, those with control over our lives will continue to have control and will find the latest and greatest catch-phrase to justify their existence and we will continue to buy it.

I was talking with family about that phrase today in a different context.

Everything is personal to somebody . . . and all parties to the deal need to respect that fact. If they can't or won't, they are lacking in the thing which denotes true civilization. That thing is empathy.

. . . getting off of my high horse.
