Phil Zimmermann re NSA "they want you to be resigned and think these systems can't be dismantled"

"When you are trying to predict the future you should picture the future you want to have and work towards it as hard as you can. When you feel resigned that's what they want. You have decide what you want and work tords getting it."

From an excellent interview with Phil Zimmerman creator of encryption software PGP and the Silent Circle

The United States of America is now a surveillance state. Let that sink in.

The spying must stop, period. The spying infrastructure must be completely dismantled and the data eliminated.

There is no other option to avoid corporate tyranny.

Don't you know? The NSA is everywhere! You can't hide your info from them! Privacy is dead. Yadda Yadda Yadda. We hear that sturm and drang from DU's gang of Stasibots.

That's what they want you to believe. The truth is that we can have privacy. Encryption does work. The NSA was so terrified that encryption would work that they wanted to prosecute Phil Zimmerman for violating laws against exporting munitions, because his software, PGP, spread all over the world.
