I am glad I do not have to decide

what to do about Syria and all the other things going on in the world, politically.

No matter what is chosen to so, people will suffer. And I do not envy those who have to decide what to do and when.

Today I am glad to be only a person in the world, suffering heartbreak.

I'm so tired. I just keep hearing crying children. I want it all to stop. I just don't know how it ever will.

Hi exchange with Rand Paul today suggesting that Paul might want to attend a classified hearing suggests that there are strong reasons to strike.

Still, I totally agree with your post.

I've made my decision, because I can't see anyway our intervention helps things. Look at Iraq. Look at Libya.

As Albert Einstein recognized, “Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war.” This is not about what Obama wants, or what Congress agrees to—the decision to go to war ultimately rests with the American people. We need to say no to war.

We're still waiting for that someone. People will suffer, and will continue to suffer when that happens, but we will finally be going the right direction.

I'm a cynic- I don't think it will be allowed to happen. We burn people at the stake and nail them to crosses for trying to make the world a better place.

or made only in video games, where I can just pause and reload a save if everything goes to shit. Whatever happens, this whole thing is going to get worse.

the torment a person with that much responsibility/power has to deal with.

If he could have a crystal ball showing what would happen depending on the action taken...or not taken...it would probably be a little easier, but not by much.

Every action or inaction has a consequence. The trick is, I guess, deciding which consequence is more acceptable. No decision is going to get 100% approval anyway...
