http://www.ncnewsquickclick.com/ads/Classifieds/Here is an example of the ads being advertised in our local newspaper.
For the record my wife has called most of these ads and she is either waiting to hear back from the person OR she was told the place was already taken or they don't accept pets.
So we are looking and I am sorry we have bothered people so much for help.
IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN

(17,045 posts)that I was questioning you on the amount of rent in your area.
I was more shocked if anything, it just made me realize how expensive it is to live where I do.
No malice intended, I hope you get a place. I am sorry I am not in your area to help you with your search.

(3,121 posts)under. The sad part is that for as low as the rent is a lot of people have a worse time trying to make ends meet. They have it worse than we do.

(17,045 posts)trying to find affordable decent housing is a nightmare!
I can sympathize. Where I live has become a booming "mecca" for young people! Rents and homes have skyrocketed massively! Sucks for people that have live here all their lives and can barely afford a scrap of tin. I am a native and I am very lucky that I purchased before the "boom".

There are places out there but evidently a lot of flaky rental agents.
Good luck.

(64,931 posts)Yeah, I remember looking at the rents and being amazed how low the rents were. It is also the same thing here in Dayton with rents.
Not sure what the issue is with you getting a place, but the best of luck in hunt for a place to live.
