A vote against the Syrian bombing mission will help President Obama?

The Democrats in Congress should see their vote against the President's request to bomb Syria as something that will benefit the President in the long run. He is not a man of war. He is a man of peace. I have to believe that because that is who I thought I voted for. It would hurt if that were not the case.

But, the majority of people do not support the idea at this time. Politically, these Congress folks that vote against it and the President would not be hurt because the people are on their side.

The vote will show that there are some that really do not mind that much what the people might think. They believe they have enough money to buy the next election. Also, they believe that the people wanted them to vote their conscience and that is their conscience.

Also true if Congress comes back with an limited or qualified authorization.

I think Obama is a virtual hostage to the war party. It will be a terrible tragedy if the people don't rescue him by furiously opposing this proposed war.
