I don't trust anything I hear anymore. I have come to the point where if I believe what we are being told, I feel that there is a good chance I am being played. It is leaving me feeling more disillusioned than ever.

(16,184 posts)The constant flashbacks to 2002 and 2003 have just made me sick, and seeing the blatantly sycophantic (or in some cases, just misguided) defense of it from Democrats is making me furious.

(9,841 posts)I do emphasize the almost, because now that he's coming out more and more as pro-Establishment, I am not shocked. Surprised, yes. Disappointed, yes. But shocked - no. Big Money knows what it's paying for, and sadly Obama is bought and paid for. I think I let myself forget that for awhile, but in the back of mind I always wondered, is he *really* different, or is it just an illusion?

Anyway, this email said that as soon as Syria was hit, certain stocks were destined to go up, as side effect of oil prices rising. So, it seems, we have a financial system that rewards the act of war.
How do we move to a financial system that rewards the act of peace?
