The MN Twin Cities say No to War. Action on 9/4 and beyond

The Peace Bridge Vigil this week will be focused on opposing US intervention in Syria. It is organized by WAMM & the Twin Cities Peace Campaign. It is every Wednesday from 5-6pm.

Please also call your member of Congress this week. They vote on September 9th and need your input! For contact info on your member of Congress go to: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml.

Tell Congress: Vote NO on War! No U.S. Military Intervention in Syria!

ANTI-WAR PROTEST

Saturday, September 7, from 12:30 – 1:30 PM @ Hiawatha Ave and Lake Street, Minneapolis

Gather along the sidewalks at East Lake Street and 22nd Ave through Hiawatha Ave at this very busy intersection near the Midtown Farmers Market to be part of a visible anti-war presence. The U.S. Congress will vote soon on the White House plans for military intervention in Syria. The U.S. is sending warships, including an aircraft carrier, for military intervention, despite overwhelming opposition from the U.S. public. U.S. war and intervention can not bring peace and justice. Across the country, protests will be held on September 7 to say no to military intervention in Syria. Join the Minneapolis event.

Initiated by Minnesota Peace Action Coalition. Endorsed by Anti-War Committee, Twin Cities Peace Campaign, Veterans for Peace and Women Against Military Madness. For more information 612-522-1861 or 612-827-5364. https://www.facebook.com/events/560265727343921/

Let’s show Boeing that we’re not MN nice – we’re MAD (Minnesotans Against Drones)!!

Why Boeing? Boeing is the 2nd largest weapons manufacturer in the country and has its national headquarters in Chicago. This protest gives us the opportunity to take our voice directly to the company that has helped kill so many people. Boeing currently makes surveillance drones and is competing to get a Pentagon contract to make the “Phantom Ray”. Come with us to Chicago to say NO to the next generation of killer drones!
