Obama is bringing the Winds of Freedom to Syria.

And the beauty of it is that it will be at a "de minimus" cost- that is, it really wont put too much burden on the poor and middle class.

No- really.

Just a few random thoughts here- as I am feeling especially patriotic and proud today, as we inch towards glory.

Even far left liberals like Dean and Pelosi are on board with the Centrists and Republicans- so you KNOW this is a good idea.

I welcome this support, so long as we dont have to listen to them on far-left liberal stuff.

I realize that the public is against this- but we must rememeber that the same public was FOR the invasion of Iraq. This proves that we should not listen to them. After all- they were wrong on Iraq, so it stands to reason that they are wrong now too.

If I were allowed to name this action, I would call it "Operation Freedom Wind."

So unless we are going to be hypocrites, then we have to assume the majortiy is wrong this time too.

It's high time for some profiles in courage.

support for iraq was because of 9/11 even though iraq had nothing to do with it. it didn't help the bush administration just lied and the media went along with it.

non support for syria is because of the disaster that iraq turned out to be. it doesn't help that the media reports in sensationalist way and makes it black/white simplistic than actual discussions of what is going on and has been going on.

either way i wouldn't want any president to make decisions like this based on poll numbers.

For now, I'm fine with just a few love taps. First we "send a message".

If you are against the bombing, no one is stopping you from going on the record and saying so.

I am 100% for it- and I dont care what the public or congress says.

You are not with me? Fine- pretend to side with the far left then.

"Winds of Change"? Change is one thing we can always count on, whether it be good or bad.

Walk softly through the desert sand
Careful where you tread
Underfoot are the visions lost
Sleeping, not yet dead

Hang on - Winds starting to howl
Hang on - The beast is on the prowl
Hang on - Can you hear the strange cry
Winds of change are blowing by

Mountains crumble and cities fall
Don't come to an end
Lie scattered on the desert floor
Waiting for the wind

Chorus

You got your life planned carefully
But you left out one detail
The hidden hand deals just one round
And the winds of change prevail

Chorus

Walk softly through the desert sand
Old dreams lead the way
Nothing new in the sands of time
Just changes every day

Hang on - It's starting again
Hang on - There's no shelter from the wind
Hang on - Like a fire from the sky
Winds of change are blowing by
