Shame on the President and John Kerry

for not recognizing that thanks to the egregious misrepresentations (read:lies) of the previous administration, the burden of proof for any military action was going to be much, much higher. You almost get the feeling that they STILL don't understand how egregious those misrepresentations (read: lies) were.

I've disagreed with the President quite a bit, but I had always thought he was a good politician. The handling of this whole Syria mess has me questioning even that.

Bush/Cheney/Rice/Powell...

But that would let them off the hook. And they are beating the drums for war all on their own. Because they really, really want to.

Fuck 'em.

There is a very strong force pushing Obama to increase empire. He, for a few minutes, heard us plead to not strike. We will see which side, Empire or democracy, prevails.

for military action are those who voted for and insisted upon the Iraq invasion. That includes Kerry. If he had a shred of integrity he'd never have taken this job after what he did to us with Iraq, along with Hagel, who is up there pitching again as well, Republican asshole that he is.

that he was always going to be on our side. And before he got fronted that Nobel Peace Prize for having done dick shit. Before or since.
