I hope a way is found for his safe return. He wa the one, who if I remember correct, that wandered off the base on night and was picked up.

8. Have to know where he is to rescue him.

Unfortunately he is probably being kept in a cave somewhere in the mountains along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border and the captors are not communicating between each other electronically about him so we can't pinpoint him. I have zero doubt that if US military has a good idea where he is, that either Delta, a Seal team, or other group of special operators will pay a visit to where he is being held captive and the captors probably won't survive the visit.
