She's an amazing person. Those who believe that she is just some twit bimbo entertainer and mock her are either ignorant, jealous, or simply cretinous.

(24,979 posts)We need a few million people in the street, so long as we have a celebrity culture, they might as well do the right thing.
And you know what the difference is between Miley Cyrus and the CIA-State Department-Pentagon-MIC? She isn't making money off this war, and she isn't receiving a salary to pitch for war.

(27,670 posts)Notice that nobody has mentioned, or is mocking, any men whose opinions they feel should be considered valueless on Syria?
For example, "But, but, what does Matt Damon have to say?"
Or, "But I really want to know what Bono thinks"
Or, "I really want to know what Justin Bieber thinks"
Nope. All the disdain is directed at female artists, whose opinions are apparently considered valueless because they are just silly women.
*sigh*
At the time of the videos release, the backlash was so brutal and unrelenting that for the first time in her outspoken career, Madonna retreated from her detractors and withdrew the video.

Regarding the War in Iraq, Madonna was right, and George W. Bush was wrong. When we didnt want to hear it but needed to listen most, Madonna spoke the truth. And in return, boys and girls, the Kings minions banished Madonna from the airwaves, where shed reigned for 20 years.

In rallying for unity, America sacrificed freedom and censored opposing views, discounting the very essence of the democracy that President Bush was peddling for Iraq.
