Canadian election-fraud probe targets Guelph Tories; calls traced to 'Pierre Poutine'

The allegedly fraudulent election-day robo-calls in Guelph were part of an elaborate scheme using a disposable cellphone registered in the name of Pierre Poutine, court records show.
Elections Canada is investigating one or more individuals directly linked to the Conservative Party as part of a politically explosive probe into a series of crank phone calls in dozens of ridings surrounding the election on May 2 of last year.
... Calls from the riding of Guelph to a robocall firm called RackNine Inc. were made using a phone registered in the name of Pierre Poutine, of Separatist Street in Joliette, Que., records show. The phone was activated on April 30, 2011, or two days before the election.
... It is more in sadness than anger that Canadians watch what could be the most comprehensive election fraud in Canadian history, NDP MP Pat Martin said during Question Period Monday. This took big money and sophistication to execute.
