This guy...
A congress member says she will follow what her constituents want and he gets all snippy. It seems to me like he is trying to imply that she is in the wrong?

(2,345 posts)It looked like he started to cave at the end... but what the fuck?
Time to switch the channel. I was only half paying attention. But his voice got all whiny when he was saying "what about what she said, should she listen to her constituents?" (paraphrasing) I think I hurt my neck when I snapped my gaze back to the TV.

(36,974 posts)I think it will be a big mistake for congresscritters to base their votes on Syria on what the 'not fully informed' public says.
Congress members should be making a full informed intelligent decision - and not one based on what they think will rack up more votes for their future elections.

(2,345 posts)If they can not produce evidence that supports their conclusions and goals then they do not deserve our authorization to engage in an act of war.
It really is that simple.

(24,096 posts)I haven't watched CNN for a while now but back then Lemon was one of the few I could stand there. He seemed like a really nice person but I am hearing things lately that don't fit that description at all.
I wonder what's up, or maybe he always was an ass and I didn't notice.

(2,345 posts)She was saying that the majority of calls were against attacking Syria and she was inclined to follow their lead.
Don Lemons tone changed and I watched him try to change her mind... it was sickening. These talking heads really need to learn how to report instead of inflect. She asked him if he was pushing to go to war.
It was pretty transparent that Don was being a war cheerleader.

(24,096 posts)for attempted cheerleading and using emotional propaganda, that I have heard about here on DU today. I expect all the rest to follow if not already.
But saying that, I still don't have an opinion on Syria and what should be done. The only similar opinion I have when people compare this to Iraq, is that the media always cheer on war. That is not new.
But Obama is not Bush, no matter how many times people say that while turning around 3 times.
