"There are a number of countries, in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action."

Mr. Kerry,

If there are 10 countries willing to take military action then they do not need our help!

We can sit this one out!

Thanks for the information!

Let them proceed!

This may gall you, but the USA is the only nation capable of taking on any other nation in the world militarily and winning that fight. The USA is also the only nation capable of taking on a second tier power like Syria outside of Russia and China. NATO? A paper tiger without the USA. Britain? The sun set on the empire long ago. France? May be if the country was a fifth rate power like Mali. Germany? No, it is not in that nation's make up after stints at world dominance turned out bad for it. Turkey? Absolutely not. Saudi Arabia? . I prefer to see a diplomatic solution in Syria where Assad leaves alive with his family and anyone else that were close to him. I wouldn't care which nation gives him safe haven and wouldn't care how much money he stocks away in Swiss banking accounts, I would want to see him just leave and allow the international community to work to heal Syria.

Bosnia and Kosovo? The UN and NATO are paper tigers without the US supplying the muscle, that is a fact. NATO couldn't even take out a Libyan dictator without US warplanes first taking out Libyan air defenses, then leaving the rest to France and Britain. But even after US pilots were out of the fight, the USA still was required to supply logistical assistance to the Air Forces that were attacking Libyan forces.

BTW, Assad is in violation of the Chemical and Biological Weapons Ban.

Abu Dhabi
Ajman
Dubai
Fujairah
Ras al-Khaimah
Sharjah
Umm al-Quwain
Oman
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Turkey
Israel

Now tell me why in fucking hell we should commit mass murder on their behalf to install fundi Salafist whackjobs in place of Assad?
