This was my favorite book as a kid

and I think it is appropriate given the current tensions surrounding Syria.

BTW I did not know that some libraries in the U.S. banned this book for quite some time. This book made me think a lot about how escalation of violence leads to a situation where no one wins.

Mine wasn't the Butter Battle, though. It was Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Yours is better in this context. But oobleck is still ookie!

And it is interesting how children's books can shape you as the person you become when you grow up.

Green Eggs and Ham.

I was hoping for a happy ending where the guy spits them out and says "yuck. I told you once and told you again, I do not like Green Eggs and ham. I tried them and found out I hate. I am not going to clean this plate. I will say it again, oh Sam I am, I do not like Green eggs and ham."
