NO CATS, everyone. I'm John Kerry and I HATE CATS. In French.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/sen-kerry-introduces-bill-protect-americans-bengal-tigers

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) on Monday introduced the "Big Cats and Public Safety Protection Act," a bill that would prohibit private possession and breeding of tigers and other "big cats."

"I know it sounds like something you just read about when there's a tragic news story, but it's all too real for first responders who respond to a 911 call and are surprised to come face to face with a Bengal tiger," said Sen. Kerry.

Why does John Kerry not want us to own cats???? Oh, yes, he's talking about Bengal tigers now, but what about that slippery language, other "big cats"????? How big, John Kerry! HOW BIG???!!!!k

Maine Coon big? Hunh? Go back to the Saudis and tell 'em we're coming and we got our big cats with us! Booga Booga Booga, John Kerry! Don't even try to stop us!

3. the whole Chamberlain "Munich moment" meme is so nutty and crackpotty - I find it bizarre

that there might be even one single individual so stupid and so unsophisticated that they would fall for such an intelligence-insulting scam.

Of course we have all heard it before. There were people on this forum who compared those who are skeptical of the whole "war on terror" meme as Neville Chamberlain signing the "Peace in our time" document in Munich.

When we see a country armed to the teeth with the most advanced military and weapon technology in the world already invade other countries as it prepares to invade more - then we can talk of Nevelle's "Munich moment."

It makes my jaw drop that Kerry could say something so stupid and engage in such unsophisticated propaganda.

7. I worked more to help elect John Kerry President of the United States than I did on any campaign in

my life since the McGovern campaign in 1972 and I actually maxed out on campaign donations to Kerry in 2004. I never imagined he was McGovern but I thought he was more sophisticated and more honest than what we have seen in the past week.

9. I guess I missed the posts that compared Kerry to Pol Pot. But that is just ridiculous

- a politician using dishonest rhetoric, yes - but Pol Pot? Whatever DU members are saying that are really even more removed from mainstream America as the fringe Democrats who support military intervention in Syria.

It didn't in the Congress.

It is insulting and its an example of the worst kind of beating the war drums rhetoric.
