3. I seem to remember Skinner mentioning a work-around, but you have to log in with their account.

So, there's got to be a lot of trust to use this method.

You log in as your friend's account, then go through the donate link, donate what you want, then log out again so your friend can have their account back. It's probably a good idea for them to then change to a new password.

I don't have a link, nor can I guarantee it works.

The member could change the password to a temporary one for the transaction, then change it back.

8. I understand the rationale to not allow it is to keep members from inadvertently helping trolls. . .

In a way, it makes sense. But then, I liked having the ability to help people, and better yet, to encourage those whose opinions I enjoyed to stay around longer and post no matter how busy the site may be.
