Zimmerman's wife was one of the lucky ones

...because the police arrived in time to defuse the situation. Here in NE Ohio, a woman wasn't so lucky. As her boyfriend showed up Sunday night in the parking lot of where she worked he seperated her from her friends and they began to argue. After a short while, he used his Ruger 9mm to kill her and put one in his own head. Like george Zimmerman, he had a CCW permit

I mention that last part because while he didn't need a carry permit to perform this heinous act, too many consider people like this and George Zimmerman "one of the good guys with a gun". Thank goodness Zimmerman's wife called the police because no one knows where that argument would have gone with a firearm involved. If Zimmerman was indeed flashing his weapon and moving to unholster it, she should have filed charges. She may not have as much time to call 911 when she sees him again:

Two found dead in Salem parking lot

SALEM - Two Mahoning County residents are dead following a murder-suicide outside the Walmart here early Sunday.

According to the Salem Police Department, dead are Charles Kropinak, 36, of Campbell, and Sylvia Maillis, 37, of Canfield - who was a Walmart employee. It is believed Kropinak shot Maillis then turned the gun on himself.

About 2:40 a.m. Sunday, police received a 911 call of shots being fired in the southeast parking lot of the store at 2875 E. State St. Upon arrival, officers found a dead man and woman.

According to Talbert, Maillis and a few co-workers were in the employee parking lot, having just returned from a break at a nearby Taco Bell and Dunkin' Donuts.

Some time later, a vehicle pulled in two spaces from them, and Kropinak exited his vehicle. Maillis also exited her vehicle and the pair began arguing, police said.

The two were standing between the two vehicles when Kropinak took out a gun, shot Maillis multiple times then shot himself, police said. The weapon used was a Ruger 9-mm semi-automatic handgun.

The gun was found near Kropinak who did have a concealed carry permit, according to police.

I have to say I was wrong about George Zimmerman. When he beat the charges, I said to everyone that I doubted he would ever touch a gun again. Since he so narrowly dodged a life behind bars, I figured there was no way he's want to go through that a second time. It now appears I was wrong. I think he's a dangerous man who will one day kill again. His wife should see that as well.

Mrs. Zimmerman lied when she made the 911 call and later admitted there was no gun. She is a convicted liar, and now it appears, a real drama queen.

I recognize it's more fun to call George Zimmerman silly names and that sometimes fiction is way more exciting than the truth.

Mrs. Z told a whopper and should be ashamed.... again. What would her god think, lol. She had her knickers all twisted and was saying her dad's nose was broken and George Zimmerman 'might start shooting' when the police showed up. And she said he had his hand "constantly" on his gun.....YET he managed to smash and stab her ipad. Oh, then she said there never was a gun.

There are more important things going on in the world than this domestic squabble.

So someone being potentially murdered in a "domestic squabble" is not important to you?

Good to know.

What was alleged clearly fits within the pattern of George Zimmerman's past behavior.

O'Mara admitted George Zimmerman was carrying.

Whether or not he had it on his person at the time was debatable, but it's quite possible that George Zimmerman may have been making gestures to suggest he was armed.

The 911 call did not sound contrived to me.

Hudson also confirmed that police do not believe a gun was involved in the incident, even though Shellie Zimmerman in her 911 call described her husband making threats with his hand on one. George Zimmerman's lawyer has also said repeatedly that he was carrying a holstered firearm during the incident.
Shellie Zimmerman and her father never actually saw the gun, Hudson said. She saw him place his hand on his body near where he sometimes carries a gun and assumed he had reached for a weapon, he said.

Now, it may have been concealed, which is why Shellie may not have 'seen' it.

Your reply is the first place I've read that there was no gun involved. I don't doubt you, but I'll have to do some additional research and inform myself of the latest details.

Still, Ms. Zimmerman should absolutely take legal steps to protect herself from her estranged spouse. There's no second guessing or going back after a known hothead who carries a gun acts on a passion fueled impulse. My underlying point that a CCW doesn't make anyone "one of the good guys" stands.

For the record, I don't hold a CCW, but I do have guns. I'm neither a gungeon dweller nor a proponent for a ban. I take the moderate view that guns shouldn't be sold at flea markets and that background checks are common sense.
