Dont tax my credit union! Tweet at Your Members of Congress!

http://www.donttaxmycreditunion.org/tweet-congress/

You've been with us this far, fighting to protect your credit union from new taxes - taxes that are really just new taxes on the 97 million Americans who, like you, belong to credit unions.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans have written, emailed and called Congress to tell them "Don't Tax My Credit Union."

And you're being heard. More than 800,000 messages have been sent to Capitol Hill! Every day another Member of Congress publicly declares his support for credit unions.

But now we're entering a critical stage. Congress returns to Washington this week, and will start putting pen to paper on tax reform legislation - legislation that could include taxation of credit unions.

Fill out the form to the right to use social media to tell your Representative and Senators "Don't Tax My Credit Union."

My local credit unions have started behaving like the big banks. They frontload debits and backload deposits to rack up as many $34.00 overdraft fees as possible.

They want to behave like banks tax 'em like banks.

Never had an overdraft fee, and I get interest (not a whole lot, but better than nothing) on regular checking and savings.
